Richard R. “Dick” Brown

September 6, 1938 — March 12, 2018

Richard R. “Dick” Brown, of Saint Charles, Missouri, passed away Monday March 12, 2018 at the age of 79.  Loving husband of 49 years to Judith Brown (nee: Forstmann); beloved son of the late Marcellus D. and Olive Brown; devoted father of Christopher (Wendy Brafman) Brown; dearest brother-in-law to Phyllis (Michael) Barnhouse, Lisa Slaughter, Mary (Blane) Ecsedy, and George R. Forstmann; and dear uncle and friend to many.

Dick retired from the U.S. Air Force as Major after 20 years.  He received his master’s degree from the University of Denver.  Following his Air Force service, he spent nearly 30 years as an award-winning writer, producer, and director in the Film and Television Department of McDonnell Douglas/Boeing.

After retirement, Dick enjoyed traveling often to Washington DC and to various countries to visit his son.  He was a WWII history buff, and in his spare time he liked reading about the events that shaped our nation.  He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan who never missed a game.  Dick cherished spending time with his dogs.  He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Memorial contributions may be made to Support Dogs, Inc. or Dirk's Fund.
