Richard “Rich” Vogelgesang

Richard “Rich” Vogelgesang of St. Paul, MO, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Sharon K. Vogelgesang; cherished son of the late Eugene and Barbara Vogelgesang; devoted father of Laura (Rob) Weeks, Cathy Wilson, Steve Vogelgesang, Dan (Renee) Vogelgesang, and Mandy (Mike) Rogers; loving grandfather of RJ, Kelsey, Brant, and Alaina Wilson, Kaden and Conor Weeks, Colton and Cassie Vogelgesang, and Chloe and Collin Rogers; dear brother of Eugene (Dorothy) Vogelgesang, Loretta (Harold) Harke, Charlie (Alice) Vogelgesang, and Ralph (Donna) Vogelgesang; cherished brother-in-law of Mary Kay Vogelgesang. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Sr. Barbara Jeanne Vogelgesang, Barbara (the late Andrew) Sommer, Leonard Vogelgesang, and Kenneth Vogelgesang.

Rich had a passion for farming. He enjoyed going to Florida in the winter with his wife, family, and friends.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 52 years, and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He will be remembered for his smile and infectious laugh.  Most of all, he loved his family.  Rich was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
