Richard "Dick" Rufkahr

St. Charles, Missouri

Richard “Dick” Rufkahr, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Elaine Rufkahr (nee Machens); cherished son of the late Anthony and Edna Rufkahr. Devoted father of Kara (Paul) Reynolds; loving grandfather of Landry Reynolds and Lily Reynolds; dear brother of the late Bob (Linda survives) Rufkahr, Bonnie (the late Tom) Beall, Jerry (Marilyn) Rufkahr; cherished uncle and friend to many. 

Dick was married to Elaine for 56 years. He retired from McDonnell Douglas after 35 years of service. He dedicated many years as a member of the Portage Jaycees and a Board member of the Festival of the Little Hills. He also served as a member of the St. Charles County Road Board Committee and was involved in numerous political campaigns. In his later years, Dick enjoyed spending time at the Barn and spending time and spoiling his granddaughters. Dick was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Memorials may be made in Dick's name to Duchesne High School and masses at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
