Richard Frank Schuckmann of Saint Louis, MO, passed away at the age of 88 on Saturday, December 22, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Schuckmann; his parents, Milton and Viola Schuckmann; and two brothers, Milton “Sonny” (the late Marian) Schuckmann Jr, and Donald (the late Ida) Schuckmann.
Richard is survived by his children, Debra Work, Michael (Barb) Schuckmann, and Steve (Rita) Schuckmann; his grandchildren, Andrew Work, Justin (Michelle) Work, Katie Hoffmann, Christine (Tony) Walsh, Tim Work, Matthew (Mary) Schuckmann, Jake Schuckmann, Steven Schuckmann, Margaret Schuckmann, and Arthur Schuckmann; his great-grandchildren, Austin Work, Kaley Work, Owen Hoffmann, and Evan Hoffmann; and his sister, Carol (Wayne) Detjen.
After proudly serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War, Richard went on to found Schuckmann Ornamental Iron where he was known to be a hard worker and quite dedicated to his job. He could also often be found in his garden where he enjoyed growing and maintaining his vegetables. He leaves to mourn, his family, as well as many friends.
