Richard Woltering was born on May 30, 1932, in St. Rose Township, IL to Frank and Margaret Woltering and passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur, MO.

In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Woltering; brothers, Ralph Woltering and Bob Woltering; sisters, Irene Eversgerd and Rose Lake; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lefty Eversgerd, Fred Lake, Olga Woltering, John Alberternst, Joe Wotowicz and Maurice Hartlieb; daughter, Karen Woltering; and son-in-law, William Noble.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Dale and Chris Woltering, Linda Noble, Jim and Loretta Woltering; his siblings and their spouses, Matt and Judy Woltering, Marcella Alberternst, Irma Hartlieb and Sally Wotowicz.

Rich was a cherished grandfather to Kelly (John), Ellen (Tim), Emily, Jess (Ryan), Andy (Caitlin), Jake (Amber) and Lindsay, and great grandfather to Oliver, Calvin, Wrenley, Lexi, Vince and Harlow.

Rich lived a long and fulfilling life, sharing the majority of it with the love of his life, Rosemary. Some of their best years together after raising their children were spent at their home in St. Charles and condo in Branson. Rich and Rose were members of the St. Elizabeth/ St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Rich was a purple heart veteran of the Korean War and a 50-year member of the DAV- Disabled American Veterans. He worked as a machinist for 30 plus years and was part of the team that helped build one of our nation's most historic landmarks, The Gateway Arch.

In his last few years, Rich lived at Fairwinds River's Edge in St. Charles, where he made many new friends and embraced a new life of pure leisure.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Evelyn's House BJC Hospice.
