Ricky Joe Koenen Sr.

Ricky Joe Koenen Sr., of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the age of 64. Cherished son of Larry G. Koenen, and the late Betty L. (Pierce) Koenen and the late step-mother Myrna Koenen; devoted father of Ricky Koenen, Jr., Barbi (Kevin) Blanke, Catherine (Patrick) Rupp, and AnnMarie (Chris) Koenen; loving grandfather of Michaela Koenen, Ricky Koenen, III, Nathan Blanke, Sophia Blanke, Ashton Rupp, Amelia Rupp; pet parent to his furry buddies, Zeus and the late Dio. Ricky was preceded in death by his two sisters, Nancy Koenen and Pamela Koenen. 

Rick had a deep passion for Harleys and Hotrods, reflecting his love for motorcycles and classic cars. An avid animal lover, he cherished the companionship of pets. Renowned for his diligent work ethic, Rick garnered numerous awards throughout his career. His strong commitment to family and unwavering reliability made him a cornerstone of support for those around him. Whether it was showing up when needed or cheering passionately for his favorite football team, Rick's dedication extended to various aspects of his life. A fervent enthusiast of rock music, he found solace and joy in listening to his favorite genre. Rick, fondly known as Ricky, leaves behind a void that will be keenly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
