Heaven’s gain was our loss when Riley Jean Sugar, of O’Fallon, MO, was born silent on October 26, 2023. Riley came into this world too soon and was taken too soon. Riley is the cherished daughter of Branden and Jordan Sugar, proud sister of Bailey Sugar, and puppy brother Senko. She is treasured by grandparents Phillip and Meredith Gnolfo and Bill and Jill Sugar; great-grandparents Phillip and Pamela Gnolfo; aunts and uncles Jake and Sam Gnolfo and Brett (Caitlyn) Sugar and Ben Sugar; cousin to Faye and Nella Sugar. Riley is celebrated by several great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and friends.

Riley, meaning strength and bravery, fought fearlessly through the chromosomal disorder, Triploidy. She loved McDonald’s chicken nuggets, Pringles, and sour gummy worms and Mommy laying on her right side for dance parties. She never enjoyed tacos or any green veggies and was always stubborn for ultrasounds. There was never a night she didn’t fall asleep to Daddy reading a bedtime story and Mommy singing “You Are My Sunshine” with a kiss from sister Bailey. While Riley never was able to spend time with us on Earth, she will always be remembered and loved as an important piece of our family.
