Rita E. Hornberger

Hornberger, Rita E. (nee Wiehardt) of Granite City, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday January 27, 2018 at the age of 98.
Beloved wife of late Frederick Williams and the late Herbert Hornberger, devoted mother of Sandra (Walter) Noonan, Deborah (Donald) Brashears, Richard Williams and Candice(Stephen) Powderly; loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; dear sister of Robert Wiehardt. Rita is preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Wiehardt; brothers, Hugo, Edward, Vincent, Tony, and Ray Wiehardt, her sisters Stella Wiehardt and Dorothy Landers.
Rita belonged to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City, Il. for many years. She enjoyed reading, bowling, and playing cards. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rita was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
