Robert A. Buechler

Robert A. Buechler, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 89. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Buechler; his brother, Edward Buechler; sisters, Virginia Runyon, Julia Gallagher, Rose Heerlein; brother-in-law, Anthony Grayek.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Doris Buechler; his niece, Elaine Heerlein, his nephews, Craig (Gloria) Heerlein and Keith (Christine) Heerlein; Doris’s niece, Toni (the late Neal) Froeschner and Doris’s nephews, Michael (Joann) Grayek, Gregory (Robin) Grayek, Steve (Leslie) Grayek and Anthony Grayek. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Frances Grayek.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a devout member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton for over 35 years. Robert served as the treasurer for the 50 Plus Club and enjoyed participating in the many events that were held through the club and church. He retired after 30 years as an accounting supervisor at National Supermarkets. In his free time, Robert enjoyed playing softball, soccer, and golf. Doris and Robert were both a part of “The Monday Night Leftovers Bowling Team” and would frequent St. Charles Lanes in Saint Charles, MO. Robert was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Robert's name to the American Heart Association.
