Robert Wilson Affholder

Robert Wilson Affholder, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Shelly Roy-Affholder; cherished son of the late Elmer and Jenny Affholder. Devoted father of Brett (Renee) Affholder, Christina (the late Christopher Reynolds) Affholder, Kyle Ash, and Danielle Ash; loving grandfather of Cody (Ashley) Affholder and Chelsea (Jeff Bonner) Affholder; treasured great-grandfather of Jace Bonner, Camden Bonner, Mila Bonner, Cal Bonner, Cohen Affholder, and Cole Affholder; dear brother of Crystal, Eileen, Merwin, John, Donna, Lee, Alice, Jim, Nancy, Katie, and Bill. 

Robert grew up in a rural farming community before working for Armco Steel and later launching his own construction business, Affholder Inc. His entrepreneurial spirit extended to various ventures, reflecting his generosity and willingness to help others. Known for his humility and commitment to providing a fulfilling life for everyone around him, Robert was a friend to all and had an enormous heart. He never encountered a stranger, effortlessly making friends wherever he went. He was very active in the St. Charles community and a member of Main Street Church. Robert was a remarkable husband, father, brother, friend, and mentor. He was a donor for Lindenwood University and will forever be remembered for his integrity and leadership with the “Affholder Board Room”. Robert was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Robert's name to Bev Roy Hope Foundation.
