Robert Douglas Binggeli, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones, Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Binggeli; cherished son of the late Arnold G. Binggeli and Mammie C. Tietz; devoted father of the late Kimberly Anton; loving grandfather of Madison Anton (Joshua) Mayden, and Matthew D. (Krista) Anton; precious great grandfather of Kaleb and Zachary; uncle of Arnold "Bing" Binggeli; father-in-law of Gary (Valerie) Anton; and grandfather to his family’s fur babies.

Bob dedicated himself with pride and honor, having served his country as a member of the US Navy during the Korean War. His commitment to upholding the law extended beyond military service, as he became a respected police officer and retired at the rank of Sergeant of Florissant Police Department after an illustrious 34-year career. Bob's affiliation with the Fraternal Order of Police showcased his deep pride in his profession. Alongside his professional life, Bob found joy in outdoor pursuits, often indulging in hunting and fishing with his dear nephew Bing. Despite being an avid golfer at one point, Bob's true passion lay in his family. Family was the cornerstone of his existence, Matthew and Madison, holding a special place in his world. Bob's love for westerns, underscored his appreciation for storytelling.

Grandpa possessed a remarkable ability to keep secrets, earning him the reputation of a trustworthy confidant. He was a reliable and generous individual, always willing to go the extra mile for others. His warm and kind-hearted nature meant that Grandpa never knew a stranger for long – to those around him, he was not just a friend but “Grandpa”. As we reflect on his memory, we find solace in knowing that Grandpa is now reunited with his cherished loved ones, forever resting in the company of his girls.

Memorials may be made in Bob’s name to the BackStoppers.
