Robert “Bob” E. Callaway, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at the age of 89. Loving husband of Lois Jean Callaway; son of the late Leland Smith and Philomene Callaway; devoted father of Kim (Steve) Rennier, and Heather (Rami) Wade-Alnimri; cherished grandfather of Chris (Sunny) Rennier, Michael (Amber) Rennier, Thomas (Jena) Rennier, Matthew (Shelbie) Callaway, and Trevor Wade; treasured great-grandfather of Catherine, Mary, Michael Jr., Olivia, Gus, Edie, Agnes, and Josephine Rennier; and dear half-brother of Joan Croney. Bob is also preceded in death by his half-sister, Nadine Parker.
Bob proudly served as a United States Marine during the Korean War, serving 3 tours of duty. He was a member of Shriners (ROJ), St Charles Pipe Club, and Tennessee Squire.
Bob had a memorable personality. Self-proclaimed as "Sweet Ol' Bob", his habits were well-known to a wide circle of friends and family.
Lois was "Little Flower", Jack Daniels was his drink of choice, and the Big Red was his team. His collection of smoking pipes was legendary and well-used.
Bob enjoyed travel, jazz, cowboy boots, grilling, and socializing with anybody and everybody. In short, he lived a fun, full life at his own pace, and can only be remembered with a smile.
Bob was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
