Robert D. Maupin

Robert D. Maupin, of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away September 19, 2017, at the age of 84.   Loving husband of 57 years to Lena Doris Maupin (nee: Hicks); beloved son of the late Amos E. and Frances B. Maupin; treasured brother of Jim (Marilyn) Maupin and the late Gerald Maupin; dearest brother-in-law of Peggy Maupin; and dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was a charter member and deacon of Grace Baptist Church for 41 years, where he taught Sunday School.  He retired from Kroger Bakery after more than 15 years as a custodian.  He loved traveling with his wife, and he was very proud of having been able to visit all of the United States, except for Alaska.  In his spare time, Bob enjoyed doing yard work and mowing the lawn.  He also like watching his TV shows, Andy Griffith, All In The Family, Bonanza, and Gunsmoke.    He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
