Robert E. Atkinson

Atkinson, Robert Eugene, of O’Fallon, MO, passed on Friday September 30, 2016, at the age of 86. Loving husband of 66 years to Mary Atkinson; son of the late Clarence Henry Atkinson and Mary Ann Graham; devoted father of Mark Atkinson, Rhonda (Steven) O'Donnell, Damon Atkinson; cherished grandfather of Stacy, Matt, and Ethan; Treasured great-grandfather of Andrew, Alexis, and Benjamin; and dear brother of Shonna Graham.
Preceded in death by brother, Ray Atkinson and sister, Lou Eddy.
Robert proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending his free time working on home improvement projects. Robert had a love for photography and was a photographer himself. Above all else Robert loved spending time with his family. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorial may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
