Robert E. Gaddie

Gaddie, Robert E., of Maryland Heights, MO, died on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the age of 87. Loving husband of the late Dorothy Sue Gaddie (nee: Hoskins); beloved son of the late Brewer Gaddie and Emma (nee: Bellamy) Gaddie; devoted father of David Gene Gaddie and wife Carolynn Eales Gaddie, the late Pamela Gaddie Jacobson and husband William Joseph Jacobson, Robert Dale Gaddie and wife Vicki Richardson Gaddie, and Jeffrey Ray Gaddie and wife Diana Robertson Gaddie; cherished grandfather of Rochelle Gaddie Dalton and husband David Dalton, Allison Gaddie Tindall and husband William Tindall, Kelly Jacobson Claiborne and husband Benjamin Claiborne, Emily Jacobson King, Alexander Gaddie and wife Rochelle West Gaddie, Katherine Gaddie Haberberger and husband Kevin Haberberger, Phillip Eugene Gaddie, and Jennifer Lynn Gaddie; treasured great-grandfather of Xander Dalton, Chandler Dalton, Lilly Tindall, Wyatt Claiborne, Noah King, Ethan King, and Wes Gaddie.  Robert is preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond Gaddie, Roy Gaddie, and Stella Gaddie.




Bob was a longtime member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church and was also a member of Overland Baptist Church. He was a high school basketball star playing for the Arlington, Kentucky Aces. Bob enjoyed serving others both in his church and community.




Bob worked hard throughout his 44-year career at Wagner Electric and St. Luke’s Hospital. He was a humble servant of God always putting others before himself. He had a wonderful sense of humor and never complained about anything. He taught his family what love is through his actions and caring heart. He was a wonderful son, dad, papo, and friend who will be missed by many.
