Robert E. Jacobs

 Jacobs, Robert E., of St. Charles, MO, died on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at the age of 79. Loving husband of Gayle Jacobs; beloved son of the late Leon Jacobs and Louise Whitekettle; devoted father of Vickie (Brad) Struckmann, Rick (Mary) Jacobs, Robin (Charlie) Jameson, and Daniel (Carol) Jacobs; cherished grandfather of 14; treasured great-grandfather of 21; dear brother of Frank (Betsy) Robertson; and dear uncle of 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Bob is also survived by many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother James Jacobs.
Bob proudly served in the US Army from 1956 to 1959. He ran a family business, including St. Charles Transit and Yellow Cab, for many years, until retiring in 1994. He was also the designer and originator of the Snow Route System for St. Charles City. Bob was a member of many organizations, including: the Masonic Lodge #241, Moolah Shriners, Kiwanis, MAPT, Elks Lodge, and the Scared Straight Program. He enjoyed playing baseball, golfing, hunting, fishing, boating, and being outdoors. But most of all he loved being with his family.
