Robert Glosier Jr.

Robert "Bob" Glosier, Jr. passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the age of 92.  Beloved husband of Mary Dean (Wilmes) Glosier.  Beloved son of the late Elvera and Robert Glosier, Sr.  Devoted father of Lucy Glosier and Rob (Genny) Glosier.  Loving grandfather of Dan Glosier, Mike Glosier and Mary (DJ) Lair.  Treasured great grandfather of Jace, Braelyn, Kade, Gunnar and Kyzar.  Dear brother of Peggy (Mick) Boschert.  Brother-in-law to James (the late Ginny) Wilmes, Dan (JoAnne) Wilmes, the late Martha Wilmes, and Jean (Dave) Schaeffer.  Treasured uncle and great uncle.  

Bob graduated from St. Peter High School in 1950.  He was a standout basketball and baseball player, signing a minor league contract after high school, but he soon returned home to St. Charles and married Mary Dean in 1953.  They were married for 70 years.

Bob was a devout Catholic and was a very active member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish.  In addition to his church, Bob was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 823.   

Bob raised cattle for over 30 years on his St. Charles County farms.  Simultaneously he worked at Builders Products/Kienstra Ready Mix for 20 of those years, and retired in 1987.

Bob was an avid golfer and loved being with friends. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling with family and friends, and watching sports on tv.  Bob was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials can be made in Bob's name to Duchesne High School or St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
