Robert H. “Bob” Berg

Robert Henry Berg, of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at the age of 78.  Loving husband of 47 years to Linda Ann Berg; beloved son of the late Henry and Marie Berg; devoted father of Julie (Scott) Swift and Jeffrey (Amy Cyr) Berg; cherished grandfather of Cooper Swift, Ava Swift, and Annie Swift; dear brother of the late Thomas D. Berg.

Bob proudly served his country as a Captain of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War in Germany and Norway.  He later retired after more than 30 years with ACF Industries as an accountant.  He enjoyed wood carving and creating unique pieces of art.  He was an avid computer enthusiast, and he enjoyed searching the family genealogy throughout the years.  He was a great cook and always had the newest kitchen gadget.

Bob loved spending time with his family.  He and his wife loved to travel across the country and to Europe.  He also enjoyed visiting family in Colorado, Texas, and Florida.  Some of his hobbies in the past included playing the accordion and guitar.  He also enjoyed going fishing, camping, and visiting Silver Dollar City with his family.  He liked following the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball team.  Bob’s favorite times were spent attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
