Robert J. Crain, Sr.

Robert J. Crain, Sr., St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 56 years to the late Helen Crain; son of the late Harry T. and the late Ruby Crain. Survived by four children, Valerie (Richard) Sowers, Connie (Tom) Riley. Robert J. Crain, Jr., and Susan (Tom) Wylie; five grandchildren, Jennifer Riley Gaul, John Riley, Josh Riley, Callan Wylie, and Sydney Wylie; and five great-grandchildren.
Robert was born on November 25, 1925 in East St. Louis, Illinois. He served in the US Navy during WWII and worked as a musician following his honorable discharge. He began his career as an accountant in 1951and worked 35 years for General Steel Industries and the subsequent parent company, Lukens, Inc. serving in capacities ranging from accounting clerk to President and C.O.O. of the subsidiary and Senior V.P. of Lukens, Inc., a Fortune 500 Company.
