Robert J. Kaelin

Kaelin, Robert Joseph Sr. 84, is resting in the arms of the Lord, Thursday, February 17, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Shirley J. Kaelin, loving son of the late Peter Paul and Laura Katherine (nee: Teepe) Kaelin. Dear father of Deborah (Jerry) Dill, Robert (Marie) Kaelin Jr. and the late Sandra Kaelin. Dear grandfather of Jennifer (Greg) Nash, Megan and Michael Kaelin. Cherished great-grandfather of Maximus Paul and Sophia Ella Nash. Bob was a loving uncle, cousin, nephew and dear friend to many. Bob retired from Procter and Gamble as a soap maker after 40 years. He also proudly served in the United States Navy where he was a champion of Golden Glove Boxing. Bob was a lifetime member of the North St. Louis Turners. Sports were a large part of Bob’s life; at the young age of 10, he served as a bat boy for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1936 to 1941 and has since then enjoyed coaching and playing many other sports. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or BJC Hospice.
