Kruse, Robert J., of St. Peters, Missouri, asleep in Jesus on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the age of 69. Bob was the loving husband of the late Joan Catherine Kruse; beloved son of the late William and Lillian Kruse; devoted father of Teresa "Terri" (Scott) McLaughlin and Elizabeth (Eric) Bickel; cherished grandfather of Drew Robert McLaughlin and Eric Michael Bickel, Jr.; dear brother of Charlotte Hopfinger; and treasured uncle of Craig (Mary) Hopfinger and Susan (Ron) Storie. He is preceded in death by his infant son, Robert Jr.
Bob was a carpenter who worked in construction, often serving as Foreman, for more than 40 years. He was a collector of baseball memorabilia and a huge Cardinals Fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching sports and old Western movies, but most of all, Bob enjoyed every minute he spent with his family. He will truly be missed. The Kruse family would like to extend their gratitude to Bob's caregivers, Liz C. and Lisa C., and his nurse, Christina.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Cardinal Care, or Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
