Robert D. Jackson

Robert D. Jackson, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, at the age of 86. Loving husband of Shirley Jackson; beloved son of the late Robert U. and Bertha L. Jackson; dear brother, Thomas (Joyce) Jackson; brother-in-law of T.J. (Marilyn) Hewlett, Wanda (Arthur) Daniels; cherished grandfather of Scott Smid, Jaycee (Erika) Jackson, Cody Jackson, Dylan Jackson, Andrew (Shay) Harvey, Amanda (Brandon) Forster, Kaitlyn (Brian) Hagee, and Austin Snider; treasured great grandfather of Ezra and Elias Jackson, Bentley Jackson, Khloe Harvey, Jaxon Harvey, Saylor Harvey, and Malakai Forster; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Robert was also preceded in death by his children, David (Christy) Jackson, Michael Jackson, and Karen J. (Kurt) Snider; siblings, Anna Jackson, Leanette Logan; and grandson Shane Jackson. 

Robert and Shirley shared a remarkable bond, celebrating 66 years of a loving marriage. Robert, a devoted husband, also dedicated himself to his community by serving as the Boy Scout leader for Troop 937, acting as a respected church elder at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Bridgeton, and generously volunteering his time at Wings of Hope and the Stonecroft Conference Center. Robert's warm heart and selfless contributions touched the lives of many, and his memory will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
