Robert "Jim" James Taylor, Sr., of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, at the age of 83. Jim was born in San Diego, CA and preceded in death by his parents, Willie M. Taylor and Bobby A. Gollyhon. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Graves; his late wife of nearly 45 years, Katherine A. (Fearno); three children, Christopher (Sheri) Taylor, Robert (Debbie) Taylor, and Kimberly (Ed) Lambrechts; dear grandfather of Karen (Bryan), RJ (Kristi), Katie (Patrick), Sammy Jo, and Danny; proud great-grandfather of Mason, Kolette, Kaden, James, Emmy, Maura, Trip, Bowman, Cawood, Collum, and an “April arrival;” and brother-in-law of Mary Jane (the late John) Schweikert. Jim was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Charles for 10 yrs. Jim was employed for 38 years at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing from 1957-1995. He was the Former President and member of Society of Allied Weight Engineers. Jim always had an optimistic outlook, enthusiasm for life, a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. He was always willing to help others and one of his goals was to do one good thing each day. His enduring patience, warmth, kindness, compassion, and generosity will be missed.
