Robert John Hippe

Robert J. Hippe, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, died suddenly Sunday, June 25, 2017, at the age of 53, while scuba diving. Loving husband of Lise, devoted father of Will, Matt and Anna; beloved son of the late Gillman and Patricia Hippe; dear brother of Phyllis (Michael) Ward, Bill Hippe, Barbara (Mark) Desmond, Tom (Tara) Hippe, and Therese (Roger) Stojeba; brother-in-law of Craig Smith, Mark (Ginny) Smith, and Sharon (Dan) Derocher; uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Rob had a smile that would light up the room, and a huge heart that loved bringing his family and friends together. Rob was very devoted to his family and enjoyed everything they did together. He was always happiest near water, whether boating, swimming or scuba diving. He was a sports fanatic, and enjoyed all things St. Louis. He was a member of the ADG fraternity, Boy Scouts of America, and was active in the Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 6/29/2017 at Baue Funeral Home, Cave Springs at 3950 W. Clay, 63301 from 4-8 pm, with a second visitation Friday morning, 6/30/2017 at Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church, 7701 Hwy. N, Dardenne Prairie, MO 63368 from 9-10 am, followed by the 10 am funeral Mass with lunch following the Mass in the Parish Hall. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Affton. Those who wish can join the procession to the burial which will depart from the Church by 1:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, tax-deductible donations can be made for the Rob Hippe Memorial Education Fund, a fund dedicated to the education of Will, Matt, and Anna Hippe.
