Robert Luther Key

Robert Luther Key, of St. Charles, MO, passed away June 14, 2017, at the age of 84.  Loving husband of the late Eva Ramona Key; beloved son of the late Landon and Lilly Key; devoted father of Robert “Scott” (Natalie) Key and Melody Weisler: cherished grandfather of Tara (Chris) Pierce, Josh (Hillary) Weisler, and Charlie Weisler; dear brother of Jack (Charlotte) Key, and brother-in-law of Ruth Key.  Robert is also survived by his first wife and mother of his children, Edwina Ann Key. He was preceded in death by his siblings Isabel (Leonard) Midget, Bill (Mabel) Key, Paul (Hazel) Key, Leon Key, Richard (Sandra) Key, and Edward Lee Key.

Robert retired after more than 25 years as a plumber with Local 35.  He was a very talented musician who played the rhythm guitar and he sang harmony.  He owned Keys Restaurant and Lounge in Blackjack, MO, and Baden Country Club in Baden, MO.  He was a Shriner and a member of the Masonic Lodge.  He enjoyed fishing with his son, and working in his yard.  He never knew a stranger, and was always there to help anyone in need.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
