Robert J. Morfeld

Robert James Morfeld, 73, at rest with the Lord on August 17, 2022.  Beloved husband of Sharon, father to Michael Morfeld, loving son of the late Fred and the late Evelene Morfeld, brother to the late Sue (the late Rich) Gellner, uncle to Terry and David.

Bob attended McBride High School and graduated from the University of Missouri of St. Louis with a bachelor's degree. He was an accountant supervisor at Shell Oil for many years before his retirement. Bob enjoyed political science, reading the newspaper daily and watching news programs. He also had an interest in finance and reviewed financial reports daily. He enjoyed sports; watching golf, baseball and football. Bob loved to find the best deals and maximize the use of coupons, with everything from groceries to cars to electronics and appliances. He had a big heart and liked to say he was a member of The Church of the Good Doobie, doing nice things for people when given the opportunity. He had a quick intellect and loved to argue and debate. He had a way to make people smile and laugh. He loved being a blackjack and craps dealer at Station Casino St. Charles. He was a great dog dad to Bozier and Snickers.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
