He enjoyed traveling around the world with his sister, and they visited many sites in Africa, Alaska, Australia, Hawaii, Europe, and Germany. He loved spending time with family and visiting his nieces and nephews in Houston. Bob liked to listen to classical and spiritual music. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the Smithsonian channel and shows on PBS. He had a lot of fun taking pictures of friends and family. He also liked to collect Hallmark memorabilia.
