Robert Harold Pilger

Robert Harold Pilger, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Darlene Pilger; cherished son of the late Albert and Grace Pilger; devoted father of Ramona Renee Nielsen, and the late Robert W. Pliger; father-in-law to Cissy Pilger; loving grandfather of Elliott Gray, Amanda Gallagher, Joshua (KC) Pilger, Jeremy Pilger, and Alicia Pilger; and precious great grandfather of the late Mariyah, Alyssa, Mila, Gage, Tyler, Whyett, Josh, and Bentley.

Robert, a cherished member of the American Legion Post #0388, found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His passions included fishing, hunting, and leisurely rides on his lawnmower. Appreciating the nostalgia of old western movies and staying informed through FOX News were among his favorite pastimes. Robert also had a particular fondness for Arby's French Dip sandwiches. His warm presence and affable nature endeared him to many, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
