Robert Wehrman

Robert Roger Wehrman, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the age of 99. Beloved husband of Marie Wehrman; cherished son of the late Christian and Pearl Wehrman; devoted father of Janet Preis and Jeanne Clark; loving grandfather of Rebecca Hill, Shelley Preis, Dean Preis, and Joe Preis; dear brother of Marcella James, Lee Wehrman, the late Elmer Wehrman, and the late Eugene Wehrman.

Robert was raised on a farm. His love for farming continued until the day he died. He was happiest when he had his hands in the dirt.

In his late 20s he married the love of his life, Marie Howell. Together they bought a small farm in St. Peters, MO. There they raised two daughters.

Robert worked at Stix, Baer & Fuller department store for 33 years selling furniture. He had a true gift of conversation and could talk to anyone with whom he came in contact. While he worked at the department store, he also raised vegetables on the farm and sold them to the St. Louis Farmer’s Market.

Robert worked with a fellow farmer and friend who planted various crops on his St. Peter’s farm throughout his time there. Robert owned two farms in Moberly, MO and worked with area farmers to place crops there.

In his retirement years he wanted to stay active and loved conversing with people. He began a small business selling Watkins products going door-to-door. He stayed in this business for about ten years all the while working on his beloved farm.

Robert loved his family with his whole heart and was a wonderful husband and father.
