Roberta Jean Richter

Roberta Jean Richter, 73, St. Charles, MO, died at 5:32 p.m. on Sunday (June 19, 2005) at Gardenview Care Center, O’Fallon, MO. She was born on August 9, 1931 in Minneapolis, MN to Robert and Gladys Simpson Whitehead. Her father, Robert, was a top sales representative for Mueller Pipe Company, Decatur, IL. Surviving are three sons: Robert (Barbara) Richter of Bloomington, IL, Bruce (Wanda) Richter of Crossville, AL and Bryan (Alicia) Richter of Louisville, KY; and three granddaughters: Tori Richter of Wentzville, MO, Amy Richter of Kansas City, MO and Erin Richter of St. Charles, MO. A cousin, Mary Simpton, of Salt Lake City UT formerly of Decatur, IL, also survives. Her parents, and a special friend of many years, Bob Schaeffer, precede her in death. Roberta was a graduate of Southwest High School (Class of 1949) in St. Louis, MO and attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Throughout her life, she worked as a personnel manager for Five Star Temporary Services and was employed by Maritz/Convergys as a teleservices supervisor until her retirement in the fall of 2002. A celebration of Roberta’s life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2005 from 12:00-2:30 p.m. at Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contri-butions may be made to the American Lung Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
