Robertha C. Newman (nee Crapo), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at the age of 89. Loving wife of the late Gaither Newman; beloved daughter of the late Claude and Ola Crapo; dear sister of Irvin (Diana) Crapo; sister-in-law of Naomi Cook; cherished aunt of Randy (Judy) Cline, Angela (Tim) Hunter, Trisha Crapo-Smith, and Mike (Pam) Cline; treasured great-aunt of Lia Hunter, Derek Smith, Nickolas Smith, and Todd Cline; close cousin of Darlene Rollins and Ina Faye Harris; and is also survived by her special friend Johanna Wortmann. Robertha is also preceded in death by her sister, Ruthie (Delmar) Newman, and nephew, Michael Jason Smith. 

Robertha was married to Gaither for 57 loving years. She graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and went on to teach in public schools in the St. Charles area. She retired after working many years as a teacher. Robertha loved to sew, and she even made her own custom clothing. Robertha was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Robertha's name to Five Acres Animal ShelterStray Rescue of St. Louis or American Cancer Society
