Roger A. Riemann

Roger Alan Riemann, born on December 27, 1945, in St. Louis, MO, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025, in St Charles, MO. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Lafser, whom he met in the sixth grade and married on May 22, 1966 in St. Louis, MO. Roger and Kathy had two children. Roger was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren. 

The son of George Riemann and Adele Kofron, Roger was a dedicated individual known for his hard work, kindness, and willingness to assist family, friends, and neighbors in need. He was a graduate of Bayless High School and continued his education at University of Missouri St. Louis and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science and Chemistry Degree. Later, he pursued a successful career as a Senior Environmental Consultant. Roger proudly and honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Roger was actively involved in his community, serving as an Assistant Scout Master and WEBELOS Den Leader, and was a member of the Zion UCC Choir and Atonement Lutheran Choir. He also contributed to organizations such as the Audubon Society and the Arbor Day Foundation, reflecting his love for nature.

In his leisure time Roger enjoyed crafting stained glass lamps, woodcraft home improvements, camping with his family, and singing in church choirs. He found joy in planting trees and feeding the wild birds in his back yard, while watching their interactions. He will be remembered as a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend whose legacy of love and support will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Kathy, their children Dr. Kari (William) Horn, D.C., and Tyson (Amy) Riemann, Chief Warrant Officer 4 (Ret), grandchildren Tyler Horn, Trevor Horn, Andrew Riemann, Michael Riemann, Aubrey Horn, and Eleanor Riemann, his older brother Richard (Cathy) Riemann and friends throughout the St. Louis area. He was predeceased by his parents and oldest brother Ronald.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Roger’s name to the Audubon Society or the Arbor Day Foundation. These were Roger’s favorite charitable organizations.
