Roland R. Bargen

Roland Raymond Bargen, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Mary Jane Bargen (nee Roth) for 52 ½ years; cherished son of the late Edward A. and Adelle A. Bargen. Devoted father of Gary L. (Tricia) Bargen, Gregory D. (Shawn) Bargen, and Tammy K. (Michael Hopper) Hartenbach; loving grandfather of Sara Bargen, Ellanore Bargen, Alex Bargen, Austin Bargen, Madison Hartenbach, and Grant Hartenbach; dear brother of Marva Lee (Dan) Heumann, Barbara (the late Bobby) Jaeger; son-in-law of Verna Roth (nee Gronefeld); brother-in-law of Donna Roth, Cathy (Steve) Diederich; beloved nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Roland proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Frieden's UCC Church, former Men's Club Member, Frieden's UCC Cemetery Board, and St. Charles Church League Dart Ball, ILL-MO Engine Club. Roland was an avid outdoorsman, he loved his lake property, fishing, deer hunting and camping. Roland was a wood craftsman, a "jack of all trades," he could fix anything.  Roland was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Roland's name to Frieden's UCC Cemetery or St Jude's.
