Dear son of the late Raymond Cox and Fay Cox; beloved husband of Dawn M. Cox; cherished father of Kimberly Shipley, Mandy Cox, and Kevin Cox; dearest brother of Lois Bates; loving grandfather of Justin Shipley, Samantha Shipley, and River Zakariasen. He was a member of VFW Post 2866, American Legion Post # , and Eagle's Club, Alton, IL.
