Ron Moorman of Lake Saint Louis, MO, died on Monday, June 13, 2016, at the age of 68. Loving husband of the late LaVerne Moorman; beloved son of the late Bedford Wayne and Lela Belle Moorman; devoted father of Michael Ray Moorman, Terra Marie Moorman, and Jeffrey (Jenni) Moorman; cherished grandfather of Isaac Michael Moorman, Nathanial Lee Moorman, and Jensen Jerome Moorman; dear brother of Debi Heck.
Ron began his lifelong love of racing at MAR Speedway in Wentzville, MO. Racing, building and competing with his own automobiles nationally. Ron built racing engines for the following organizations: NHRA, IHRA, NASCAR Truck Series, Jerry Bickel, Matt Johnson, and Gary Duckworth. His racing background lead to his Harley Motorcycle passion of traveling the country. Ron enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War on the USS Ranger. He was a member of the Harley Owners Group, and was a Boy Scout as a young boy in his mother’s pack.
