Ron attended Northeast Missouri State College for two years on a football scholarship before he was drafted into the Army during the Korean War. Upon honorable discharge he returned to college in Kirksville, met and married Charlene, the love of his life, and graduated with a degree in business. He was part owner of Stock and Nolle Oil Company, and he retired from Cross Oil Company. For decades Ron was a diehard golfer at Bogey Hills Country Club. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially to warmer climates, and was an avid sports fan. Lovingly known for doing things his way, he will be greatly missed.
