Ronald “Ron” Freebersyser, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the age of 88. Loving husband of Joan Freebersyser; beloved son of the late Oliver and Maude Freebersyser; devoted father of Janis (Allan) Parker, David (Kelli) Freebersyser, and Craig (Janice) Freebersyser; cherished grandfather of Brian (Misty) Wuebbels, Lisa (Rob) Cahill, Katie (Derrick) Holtgrewe, Alison (Jacob) Conklin, Trent Parker, Jon Freebersyser, Kristin Freebersyser, Tim Freebersyser, Jake Freebersyser, Patrick Ayers, Amanda Garner, Mike Freebersyser, and Amy Freebersyser; treasured great-grandfather of Brian, Austin, Christopher, Taylor, Raylan, Jameson, Nash, and Carter. Ronald is preceded in death by his brother, Robert (Betty) Freebersyser.
Ron was married to his best friend and love of his life, Joan for almost 65 years. He was proud to be a husband, and father, but he especially treasured his title as grandpa and great grandpa. Ron proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. Following his service in the Army he worked at Hussmann for over 30 years. Ron enjoyed being active playing sports like golf and tennis. He was an avid reader who read a large variety of genres. Ron and Joan were fond of spending Monday mornings out at the Ameristar Casino and many Sundays were spent out on Ron and Joan’s pontoon boat. Above all, Ron loved his family and was happiest when they were together. Ron was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
