Ronald “Ron” L. Townsend
July 28, 1941 — May 1, 2020
Ronald “Ron” L. Townsend, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away at the age of 78 on Friday, May 1, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Dorothy Townsend; his step-granddaughter, Carla, his brother Hershel Townsend; and niece, Tracey Eaker.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores M. Townsend; his nephew, Jason (Valerie) Townsend, his stepchildren, Michael (Laura) Lococo, Cathy Kinnard, Tony (Jill) Lococo, Michele (Jay Henson) Lococo, and Debbie Nickens; his step-grandchildren, Anthony, Stephanie, Amber, Randy, Jacob, David, Keith, Kevin, Amanda, Vaughn, Kyler, and Ryan; his six step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Ron was a veteran of the US Navy who later went on to be active in both the American Legion and the VFW. For fun, Ron enjoyed spending his days fishing, going target shooting or watching NASCAR racing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial contributions in Ron’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
