Ronald Ron Shinn

Memorials may be given to The Brain Tumor Society or Donor's Choice, in lieu of plants and flowers. Ron was the beloved husband of Mary Shinn; dear son of William C. and the late June Shinn; Loving father of Kelly Shinn (deceased), Tracy Shinn, Pamela McClure (Matthew), Sandra Allen and Debra Checque (Ken); dear grandfather of Brianna, Carly, Abby and Evan Checque, Michael Allen and Alexandria and Jamison McClure; dear sister of Sharon Whitehall and Steven Shinn. Ron was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Crusaders Sunday School Class. He was an Aerospace Weights Engineer for Boeing for almost 21 years and was selected by them for the prestigious designation of ''Associate Technical Fellow''. He was a long time member of the Society of Allied Weights engineers and was elected ''Fellow'' in 1999, and was also a member of the American Helicopter Society. During his military service, he served as a submariner on the USS Sturgeon (SSN-637) Groton Connecticut. ****Since the memorial service will be a celebration of Ron's life, the family requests that no dark colors be worn.****
