Ronald Saettele

July 24, 1946 — January 23, 2022

Saettele, Ronald W., 75, died peacefully January 23, 2022, at his home in St. Paul, MO surrounded by his family. Ron was born July 24, 1946, in St. Charles, MO. He attended Duchesne High School in St. Charles, MO and Benedictine College in Atchison, KS. Ron served two years in the army during the Vietnam War before starting his career as a tax accountant. He worked briefly at CenturyTel and Emerson Electric before moving on to The May Company (later Macy’s) in downtown St. Louis. 

Ron was a faithful parishioner of St. Paul Church in St. Paul, MO. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6415 with several years as treasurer, and one year as Knight of the Year in 1991. Also, Ron was on the St. Charles County Planning and Zoning Commission for several years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Rosella (Illy) Saettele. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol Saettele (nee Wubker); dear father of Laura (Keith) Henke, Bart (Laurie) Saettele, Tom (Trang) Saettele, Katie (Rob) Schowengerdt; and cherished grandfather to 11 grandchildren. Ronald was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Memorials can be made in Ronald’s name to American Cancer Society.
