Ronald Larry Scott, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of 59 years to Donna Ann Scott; cherished son of the late William “Tutt” and Judith M. Scott; devoted father of Rhonda (Jeff) Lane, Randy (Diane) Scott, Richard (Margaret) Scott and Rodney (Bethany) Scott; loving grandfather of twelve; treasured great-grandfather of fourteen; dear brother of the late Wendal Scott, Billy (Claudia) Scott, and Jack (Nanci) Scott. He also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Ronald graduated from the University of Missouri, class of 1964. He retired from the Missouri Department of Corrections where he was a Director of Physical Education. He enjoyed hosting family reunions and preparing the meals. He loved his family and found joy as coach, driver, and mentor for his children and grandchildren. He was a faithful servant of God and served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Music Director of Calvary Baptist Church. Ronald loved music, especially singing anytime and anywhere. He performed for years in the gospel quartet “The Proclaimers”. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and softball. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, he loved Myrtle Beach and would take his grandchildren to see the ocean every summer. In his later years he would visit cemeteries for genealogy research and organized a family pictorial and video archive for future generations. Ronald was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be made in Ronald's name to Calvary Baptist Church, O'Fallon, MO.
