Ronald Vincent Bentele, resident of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away November 19, 2008. Born March 21, 1943, in Macon County Missouri. He was the eighth of nine children born to the late Albert and Dorothy Bentele (nee Modglin). He is survived by his loving and caring wife Donna Bentele (nee Hanna) of 38 years and his dear children Matthew Bentele of New York, N.Y., and Stacy Bentele of Little Rock, Ark., and her three beautiful daughters, each of whom were precious to Ronald – Kaylan, Emily and Claire. Ronald will be sorely missed by his four brothers and three surviving sisters, Kenneth (Mary) Bentele of Macon, Mo.; Mildred (Jay) Chambers of Gillette, Wyo.; Elizabeth (Jack) Lowe of Clinton, Mo.; Norbert (Annemarie) of Quincy, Ill.; Raymond (Debbie) Bentele of Town and Country, Mo.; Leo (Kay) Bentele of Independence, Mo.; Carolyn (Jerry) Snidow of St. Peters, Mo.; as well as by his sisters-in-law Nancy (Tom) Striegel and Martha (Jay) Welman. He was preceded in death by his sister Reta (Bill) Cupp of Columbia, Mo. All 62 of his first and second generation nieces and nephews were very special to him and they will always remember and miss their lovable Uncle Ronald as will many other friends and extended family. He served honorably as an enlistee in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1963 and was at sea off of Cuba involved in engaging the Soviet trawlers during the 1962 missile crisis.
