Rosalie (Rose) Reed Linn Adams, peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024.
Rosalie was born August 31, 1930, in West City, IL, the daughter of Delmar and Violet (Duncan) Reed.
She married Gordon B. Linn on January 9, 1949, in Piggot Arkansas, and he preceded her in death on August 6, 1954.
She married Ronald A. Adams on May 19, 1959, in Christopher, IL and he preceded her in death on, May 31, 2008.
She worked 20 years as a secretary for Wood River School District 15 in Wood River, IL, and retired in 1985.
Rose was a “Church Lady” all her life and a member of the First Baptist Church in Wood River, Illinois for over 60 years where she served on many committees and made lifelong friends.
She loved being with family, sewing, quilting, crafts and traveling. She and Ron spent many winters in Florida after they retired.
Rose was the loving mother of Diana (the late Bob) Rogers, Debby (Dan) Adams-Relling, and the late Gary (J.R. Survives) Linn; cherished grandmother of Melissa (Jeff) Hampton and great grandmother to Oliva Catlin and Liza Catlin; grandmother to Christine (John) Reheis, Jeff (Melanie) Relling, Amanda (Rick) Neal, Candace (Clyde) Whiddon, Jason Rose, Curt (Christy) Rogers, Joe Rogers and great grandmother to their children; She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two brothers, Lloyd Reed and Bill Reed, and one sister, Elva Wiggins Meyer.
Memorials may be made in Rose’s name to the Community Hope Center, 1201 Hope Center Lane, Cottage Hills, IL 62018 or Charity of Choice.
Graveside Service to be held on Thursday, August 29th at 11:00am at Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton, IL.
