Rosalie was born July 23, 1923 in Newport, Nebraska. She graduated from Vandalia High School in 1941. Rosalie was married to Clyde Carroll Hobbs on June 15, 1941 and they spent most of their married life in Vandalia prior to his passing on July 1, 1971. She was later married to Warren Samuel Baker on September 17, 1972 and they moved to rural Farber, MO in 1974.
Rosalie is the loving daughter of the late Jesse W. and Irene Kurtz; dear mother of Rosemary Gore, James (Metra) Hobbs and Jennifer Luckett; cherished grandmother of Kenneth W. (Becky) Gore Jr., Richard M. (Regina) Gore, Angela C. (Mark) Pearson, Gina M. Mason and Darren K. (Roxanne) Hobbs; great-grandmother of 15 and dear sister of Robert (Joyce) Kurtz. Rosalie is preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde C. Hobbs, her second husband Warren S. Baker, 3 sisters and 5 brothers.
Rosalie enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and crocheting. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post in Vandalia, former member of Presbyterian Church in Vandalia and later baptized into the fellowship at BogeyHillsBaptistChurch in St. Charles, MO.
