Rose A (Angie) Powers, nee Dames, of O’Fallon, MO passed away peacefully Wednesday April 28, 2021, at the age of 93 with her family by her side. Angie is survived by her loving husband Robert of 68 years and five daughters, Vickie Blevins (Mark) of Sebring, FL, Sue Mills (Sean) of Venice, FL, Mary Ann Kellogg (Andy) of Truesdale, MO, Judy Dee (Terry) of Lake St Louis, MO, Lisa Favuzza of Atlanta, GA, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Omer and Madeleine, and siblings Albert, Isabelle, Agnes, Rita, Jerry; Survived by siblings Loy, Laura and George, and many nieces and nephews.
Angie was a devoted daughter, sister and caregiver, a steadfast advocate for military veterans serving various leadership roles in the VFW (Post 5077) Women’s Auxiliary for more than 45 years. She was a Red Cross volunteer of over 35 years and personally donated over 100 pints helping countless people in need. A cherished friend and neighbor always ready to lend a hand or take part in card clubs or quilt socials. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed quilting, knitting and crocheting. She always had a garden and loved tending to her flowers. She was an avid sports fan and loved the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues. Angie enjoyed spending time at their 2nd home at Lake of the Ozarks with Bob and their children and grandchildren and cruising on their pontoon. They enjoyed many trips both at home and abroad.
Angie was a lifelong member of Assumption Parish and gave generously of her time and talents working at the rectory, singing in the choir and supporting funeral lunch services.
Memorials may be made in Rose's name to
Alzheimer’s Association or
SSM Hospice Association.
