With profound sadness we announce the passing of Alice Rosetta Bush, our loving and devoted mother.
Rose went to be with our Lord in His heavenly home on August 11, 2021. She was in her 79
th year of life. Married to Joseph Bush for the past thirty-four years.
She was the beloved mother of Pam (Michael) Scheib, and Tim (Deanian) Gossett. Proud grandma of Stephanie, Jeremy, Elizabeth, and Caleb. Great-Grandma of Levi, Molly-Kaye, Geneieve, Macy, Easton, and Lee.
Rose is preceded in death by her brother, Evan Montgomery, her mother, Ethel Vineyard, and her sister, Elma Jean Johnson.
Rose lived a very full life. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, great grandma, friend to everyone. She worked as an insurance claims representative, Jewish Center for the Aged, McDonnell Douglas, our own furniture stores (Ray’s Furniture and Brokerage Furniture), Youth In Need, GM in Wentzville, all before retiring and enjoying spending time with family and friends. She loved spending time out on the river boating or her swing, sewing, cooking for everyone and she loved her church. But mostly she loved her children, grandchildren, and family. She instilled values and religious training that has served her and is still serving us today.
Rose, once wrote in a book, what best describes your life? Her answer: “Absolutely awesome. I never dreamed my life would take me to so many places. I have been in 40 states, Canada, Mexico, Japan and Hawaii. For a poor country girl, I have grown in so many ways. I want others to remember my laughter. I have laughed when my heart was breaking. Remember my joy and remember my walk with God. Rose was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Rose's name to
