Rose Marie Rhodes (nee Falzone), of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends Friday, September 17, 2021, at the age of 89. Cherished daughter of the late Ray and Rose Falzone. She is survived by two children, Margo (Donald) Smith of Titusville, Florida and Curtis Dilday of Mullumbimby, Australia; two stepchildren, Lisa Dear of O’Fallon, Missouri and William Rhodes of Saint Louis, Missouri; one step grandson, Nathaniel Dear of O’Fallon, Missouri; along with numerous extended family and friends.
Rose was a truly caring and supportive wife and mother who always looked after her family and loved her church and friends, as well as an entrepreneur who created Rose’s Bookhouse, that is still doing business to this day. She was a realtor who had a talent and passion for the arts. Rose was also an artist in many media, including music (choir), painting, sculpting and even painting portraits for people in Lake Saint Louis. Rose was also an animal lover, an avid Christian, had a green thumb, enjoyed watching old western movies with a dear friend, and had a good sense of humor.
This amazing woman lived life her way, independently at home to almost 90 years old. Still holding a driver's license, active with her church and going to the gym (before covid) as well as reading bible verses to a friend nightly. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Rose's name to Hope Bible Church - O'Fallon.
