Roseann Irene Cottner

Roseann Irene Cottner (nee Maxwell), of Florissant, MO, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Jim Cottner; cherished daughter of Loy and Lorraine Pearl Maxwell. Devoted mother of the late Shelly (Lee Brandt) Pratt and the late Tim Pratt; stepmother of Cheryl (Wayne) Diester, Jim (Melissa) Cottner, and Dennis (Wendy) Cottner; loving grandmother of Lori (Jared) White, Kimberly (Rich) Stulce, Corey (Erica) Diester, Randy (Shannon) Cottner, Joni (Robert) Noe, Patricia (John) Christeson, Nick (Kristin) Pratt, Joe Cottner, Danny Cottner, Ashleigh Cottner, Jennifer (Matt) Coerver, and Jeremy Brandt; treasured great-grandmother of 17; dear sister of Julia Warren and Suzette Nuss; Roseann is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Christine Cottner; two grandchildren, Chelsea Cottner, Jessica Brandt.

Roseann was born in San Diego, California and moved around the country with her family. After moving to St. Louis, then she met her husband, Jim, while both working at Universal Match. Roseann worked for the Post Office for approximately 30 years. She loved the outdoors and camping in Huzzah Valley in Steeleville. She also enjoyed her annual trips with her best friend, Debbie, to Illinois to pick peaches. Roseann had many meals at her favorite restaurant, Denny's with family and friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Roseann was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Roseann's name to Shriner's Hospital or Youth In Need.
