Rosemarie Merchant

Rosemarie Merchant (nee Overmann), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Stuart Merchant; cherished daughter of the late Henry and Estelle Overmann. Devoted mother of James H. (Mary) Hirbe, Paul J. (Lisa) Hirbe, Mary J. (Gary) Hauser, Debra L. (Jeff) Moss, Christine L. Merchant, and Robert L. (Maureen) Merchant; loving grandmother and great-grandmother to many; dear sister of Carolyn Southard. Preceded in death by three brothers, Fr. William Overmann, Richard Overmann, and Mark Overmann. 

Rose, a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt, was married to Stu for 50 years. With a huge heart, she was deeply involved in the lives of her family, always cheering on her grandchildren in their extracurricular activities. For 25 years, Rose generously sponsored people through Alcoholics Anonymous, offering guidance and support. She also had a passion for the outdoors, finding joy in camping and traveling. Rose was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
