Rosemary Dysart Baue

Rev. Rosemary Dysart Baue The Reverend Rosemary Dysart Baue died Sunday, October 23, 2011 after a massive stroke at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. She earned her divinity degree in her sixties and shepherded the Union Chapel congregation on Fishers Island, NY. (United Church of Christ) for over a decade. Known affectionately to her grandchildren as "RoRo," she was 77. Born on December 13, 1933 in Springfield, Missouri, to Naoma Sage and LeRoy Dysart, she grew up in Webster Groves with her brothers Max, Jerry, and David, and sister Ramona. In her youth, she attended Lindenwood College and the New England Conservatory of Music, where she studied and sang opera; in her later years, she studied philosophy at Marlboro College and earned her Masters Degree from Yale Divinity School. Rosemary and her husband, Dr. Arthur Edward Baue, were one month shy of celebrating the 55th anniversary of their 1956 wedding. Together and with their three children, they lived in 27 different places around the world, including the Philippines, Haiti, and Germany. Rosemary is survived by her husband Dr. Arthur E. Baue (formerly of St. Charles, MO), of Hamden, Connecticut; her children Patricia Baue Nizen (Peter F. III) of Hamden, Connecticut; Arthur C. (Chris) Baue II (Lisa Billingsley) of St. Louis, Missouri; and Bill (Jiyanna Vagedes) Baue of Sunderland, Massachusetts; and her grandchildren Marlene B. and Arthur C. (C.J.) Baue III; Peter and Tyler Nizen; Clara and Aoife Dahill-Baue and Emma Vagedes-Plavcan. She will also be greatly missed by many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Ramona Michenfelder and brothers Max, Jerry, and David Dysart.
